One Linen Dress, 4 Different Looks

One Linen Dress, 4 Different Looks

It’s no surprise that linen dresses are often categorized as the ultimate summer wardrobe essential. They are breathable, super lightweight, and soft to the skin — the best combo for hot and humid summer days. However, there’s no rule that prevents linen dresses from being worn all year round.

Linen is naturally thermoregulating, meaning it retains heat from your body without making you sweat, which is something that happens often with cotton. Plus, it looks outstanding matched with other natural fabrics, such as wool and cashmere.

Today on our blog we want to highlight one of our most popular designs — the button front linen dress with sleeves — and the variety of colors appropriate for all seasons.

No matter what corner of the world you live in, it’s a given that spring and summer attire is all about light, radiant colors. Just like the blooming nature, we tend to choose clothing that uplifts the mood and gives off a sense of freshness, purity.

On that note, we’ve noticed that white linen dresses were one of the most popular purchases last year, and the trend doesn’t seem to slow down. White linen is elegant, effortlessly chic, however, it often requires an undergarment. Those who still want to stay on the light color spectrum can easily go for the natural linen color like the one worn above by Beth Philippidis.

Another popular choice for spring and summer linen dresses is different shades of pink, especially the more muted tones. In our color palette, we have everything ranging from salmon pink to dusty purple with the most beautiful woodrose shade in between, worn here by Ewelina Kanty (@kantyphotographers).

As we start moving from summer to colder months, our clothing palette gradually changes as well. Lead by practical reasons, we opt for darker colors because they are easier to mix and match together, and are also believed to absorb more warmth.

Patience Randle (@inkandfable) is wearing the same button front Faro linen dress that we’ve seen in woodrose and natural linen colors. However, she chose to go with the rich teal blue shade that makes it look refined yet cozy and perfect for matching with some knee-high boots.

Last but not least we have Daniela Constantini (@danielabistrain) sporting the Faro dress in the quite unusual black linen. Linen is porous and dyes easily, it can sustain really rich, deep hues. That’s why the black fabric looks extremely sumptuous.

Now that you’ve seen how the same linen dress can change from a breezy summer beach garment to refined autumn-winter companion simply based on its color, go ahead and browse our linen clothing section and find the best fit for you.
