TAB: Care percale instructions

Our Egyptian cotton percale products are breathable, durable, and designed for regular use and repeat washing. Proper care helps maintain their crisp feel, smooth texture, and matte finish while preserving color and minimizing shrinkage.

Wash
Wash on a gentle cycle at up to 40°C / 104°F with mild detergent. Wash with similar colors and turn pillowcases and duvet covers inside out. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, which can leave residue on the fibers. Don’t overload the washing machine, as this can increase creasing.

Dry
Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Remove promptly while slightly damp and gently reshape to help reduce wrinkles. Avoid high heat, which can cause shrinkage.

Iron
Iron on medium heat while slightly damp for a smooth, crisp finish. Ironing is optional, as cotton percale naturally wrinkles after washing.

Store
Make sure the fabric is completely dry before folding. Store in a cool, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight.

Stain Care
Blot spills promptly and gently pre-treat with mild detergent before washing. Avoid rubbing vigorously. Check that the stain is gone before tumble drying, as heat can set it.

Shrinkage
Cotton is a natural fiber and may shrink during washing and drying, especially when exposed to high temperatures. Cold or lukewarm washing and low-heat drying help minimize shrinkage and maintain the fabric’s shape.

Color Care
Wash with similar colors and avoid prolonged direct sunlight when drying to help preserve the fabric’s original shade. Wash white pieces separately from colored items to help keep them bright.
