Our linen products are durable, breathable, and designed for regular use and repeat washing. Proper care helps maintain their fabric structure, color clarity, and natural drape, minimizes shrinkage, and allows the linen to soften naturally over time.
Wash
Warm, gentle cycle (up to 40°C / 104°F) with mild detergent. Wash with similar colors and turn inside out. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Don’t overload the washing machine, as this can cause creasing.Dry
Air dry preferred or tumble dry low. Remove while slightly damp to help retain shape. Avoid high heat.Iron
Medium heat while slightly damp for a refined finish. Iron is optional, as natural creasing is part of linen’s character.Store
Hang or fold in a cool, dry place away from prolonged direct sunlight.Stain Care
Blot spills promptly and pre-treat with mild detergent before washing.Shrinkage
Linen is a natural fiber and may shrink slightly if exposed to hot water or high heat. Cold or lukewarm washing and low-heat drying help minimize dimensional change. Pre-washed linen (like ours) is less prone to shrinkage but still benefits from gentle care.Color & Print Care

How to measure for a tablecloth?
First of all measure your table. If your table is square or rectangular, measure the entire width and length of the table from end to end. If your table is round, measure the diameter of the table from one edge to the other passing through the center.
Then choose the tablecloth drop. The drop of the tablecloth — a.k.a the space from the edge of the table to where the tablecloth ends — depends on the type of occasion you’re setting up for. If it’s a casual get-together with family and friends, a drop of around 6-12 inches (15-30 cm) on each side will suffice. For a more formal gathering such as a wedding, the drop should be longer, about 15-30 inches (38-76 cm).

My husband and I really like the all the colors of the linen tea towels we got from Magic Linen. So far they have been great in our kitchen and bathroom. The only problem is when we took them out of their packaging they smelled like artificial fragrance, which is toxic. Luckily the smell disappeared after a few days of airing them out and washing them. We know that Magic Linen is not intentionally adding fragrance because it would go against their OEKO-TEX certification. My best guess is the person/people who were packaging the linen towels into their bags was wearing heavy artificial fragrance that rubbed off onto the towels. For those of you who don't know artificial fragrance often contains PFAS chemicals that persist for about 100 years. The problem of artificial fragrance being on and in things we've ordered is steadily growing over the years. I hope the public will become aware of how dangerous these chemicals are for the health of the people and planet and demand that they are never used in or on anything. To end on a positive note. I recommend the Magic Linen tea towels.
